Personification style Poem
Wise Light The lone star shone bright in the sky Bright, everlasting, powerful waking up at night, sprinting across the sky, caressing the earth with light It's wise light rubbing off on the dreamers below 'O' great one, where do you get your light from?
Finding Mary by Gyan Ban
I found this poem on www.gyanban.blogspot.com and thought I should share it with you. An amazing work:
Finding Mary
Window curtains flowing and the food was warm.
She was alone when they found her.
With no sign of a forced entry nor a panic stricken exit.
Mary appeared exactly a month after it dissapeared….
without it’s crew.
Right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mary Celeste set sail around Nov 5,1872. About a month later it was found in the Atlantic Ocean unmanned and apparently abandoned, despite the fact that the weather was fine and her crew had been experienced and able crew.
The ship had been at sea for a month and had over six months' worth of food and water on board. The cargo was virtually untouched and the personal belongings of passengers and crew were still in place, including valuables. The crew was never seen or heard from again. Their disappearance is often cited as the greatest maritime mystery of all time.
Theories range from paranormal explanations involving hypothetical extraterrestrial to UFO abductions and even time travel. It remains a mystery till this day.

Finding Mary.

Warm teacups and napkins perfectly in place, waiting patiently.
Window curtains flowing and the food was warm.
She was alone when they found her.
With no sign of a forced entry nor a panic stricken exit.

without it’s crew.

Ramadan's here!
Hey Ya'll!
Ramadan's over and I've kept nearly 15 Roza's ( fasts) For all the non-Muslims who have no idea what Ramadan (or as its better known as: Ramazan) is well then let me tell you. It's a holy month for Muslims all around the world when for 30 days we fast to experience what poor people go through every day and it teaches us self-control and disciplines our mind. We have to wake up at 5am, eat a HEAVY breakfast, pray then go back to bed or do whatever you want. Then at around 6-7pm (depending on where you live) we break our fast with dates, water, fruits and other stuff. During the day we pray 5 times. When fasting you aren't allowed to swear, be aggressive, hit someone or scream. (Or eat..lol) So I hope that was a good insight for the non-Muslims reading this. I've only given a very brief overview so if you wanna know more in detail you can go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramazaan (Yes it's hyper linked!)
Hope that helps...Take care!

My Haiku Poems
The rules of writing a Haiku style poem are:
First Poem:
The seagull leapt up
soaring along in the sky,
then fell prey to sharks.
Second Poem:
When the fog thickens
the trees start to look scary,
then the fog clears up
Third Poem:
Winter comes around
makes the snow fall so thick.
Blanket of beauty
- The 1st and last line have 5 syllables
- The 2nd line has 7 syllables
- It should be like a little story in just 3 lines!
First Poem:

Second Poem:
When the fog thickens

then the fog clears up
Third Poem:
